London… – a massive sprawling metropolis where everyone’s always in a hurry. It can make you feel overwhelmed. But what would you say for a place where you can find yourself away from traffic noise and busy streets and actually enjoy tranquillity? Yes, I am still thinking and talking about London!
Instead of inviting you to spend hours queuing for London’s landmarks, below are few spots that might appear on your must-see list when visiting this vibrant city. Make your visit a short break whilst staying in one of IHG’s local hotels.

155 metres up in the Sky Garden, you’ll find spectacular views across the capital while enjoying your cup of coffee, cold drink or having a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Whatever the occasion, it will take your breath away.
Tip: Advance booking recommended (no entry fee).
Kyoto Garden

Considered as one of the local gems simply because Kyoto Garden in Holland Park is nothing like what you would expect to find here. Japanese tranquillity hidden in one of London’s parks. With stone lanterns, a beautiful waterfall, plenty of fish (koi carp, in case you are wondering!), squirrels and majestic peacocks you’ll restore your inner spirit in just a few minutes.
Tip: Come earlier in the morning to enjoy it all for yourself!
Little Venice

Little Venice is tucked away in the residential neighborhood and the picturesque area can be explored on foot or by boat. Personally, I advise to go for the first option as you’ll be able to take a truly amazing walk through Maida Vale, Camden up to Regent’s Park and London Zoo. Little Venice is a home to waterside cafes and pubs and although you will not mistake it for the Italian city, you will still feel like a thousand miles away from the noisy streets nearby.
Tip: To fully enjoy Little Venice and its hidden gems try getting there on a sunny day.
Kensington Roof Gardens

99 Kensington High St, Kensington, London W8 5SA
Away from the hustle of London, The Kensington Roof Gardens have not only spectacular views but are open to public and free to visit. Their area covers 1.5 acres and is often booked for different events or weddings. The Gardens contain traditional English, formal Spanish and Tudor themed areas. Would you believe this place has over 100 trees, a garden pond with ducks, fountains, vines, palm trees and even flamingos! Yes! Where else would you experience a treat like this?
Tip: Check before you visit that there are no events taking place, avoid evenings on Thursday, Friday & Saturday due to its popularity.
