Directions to three Orlando nightspots

orlando-night

Orlando is known as a prime family vacation spot with all of its theme and water parks. But what a lot of people don’t know is that when the sun goes down, the real party heats up in central Florida.

Bars, lounges, dance clubs, comedy clubs and more keep locals and tourists awake and entertained throughout all hours of the night. Whatever kind of nighttime flare you desire, Orlando has it for you.

Howl at the Moon
8815 International Drive
Orlando, FL 32819

For drinks and a show (and to be a part of the show), Howl at the Moon is your destination. This poppin’ nighttime spot is a piano bar featuring two dueling baby grand pianos. Howl at the Moon is a piano show and a concert at the same time, but it requires audience involvement to really get the place howling. Sing, stomp or clap along with your favorite songs, and if you’re lucky, you might get to show off your dancing skills on one of the pianos.

ICEBAR Orlando
8967 International Drive
Orlando, FL 32819

The coolest place in central Florida is ICEBAR Orlando, and when we say coolest we actually mean coldest. This is a bar experience unlike any other you’ve ever had. Fifty tons of carefully carved ice, accompanied by lights and music, provide your backdrop, bar and seats. While it’s a cool 27 degrees inside, you’ll stay warm with a thermal coat and pair of gloves they give you. Sip down one of their beverages, maybe a famous Penguin Pizz, which will also help keep you warm. Guests ages 8-20 are allowed this unique experience from 7-9 p.m., while adults over 21 are welcome any time.

Universal CityWalk
6000 Universal Blvd.
Orlando, FL 32819

Universal CityWalk has a plethora of options to give you an enjoyable night. Eating a late dinner, finding someone to buy you drinks at a bar, dancing to the latest hit songs and attending a rock concert are all possible here. Red Coconut Club is a nightclub and lounge that sits above CityWalk, allowing you to look out over this energetic area and up at the night sky on its balcony. The décor is kind of a random mix of different eras and cultures, but the three bars, two clubs levels and atmosphere make this club unmatched. Dancing is always a pleasurable way to party the night away with your friends, and that’s the reason many go to the groove. With a DJ spinning the latest hip-hop, R&B, pop and Top 40 hits seven nights a week, the groove is the hottest dance club around.

Enjoy the sun while it’s up, but get ready to see Orlando really come alive once the sun sets. After a day out in the sun and a night out on the town, you want a comfortable hotel room to come back to so check out these Orlando hotels as you plan your visit.
