The Tian Tan Buddha statue is hard to miss on this island. Sitting 26 meters up on a lotus throne with the bronze statue itself measuring 34 meters high, this is truly a sight your eyes must see. Climb up the 268 steps for an up close and personal look and to see views of the mountain and sea below.

Sitting opposite of this magnificent Buddha statue is the Po Lin Monastery. This world-renowned Buddhist establishment is a peaceful place of worship and a place for tourists to see and observe Buddhist culture, architecture and art. Walking and reflecting on Wisdom Path, which takes an average of five minutes to do, is another highlight of Hong Kong Lantau Island.
